Emil Rabending (1823 in Erfurt – 1886 in Frankfurt) was a German photographer who opened with his partner Schmidt in 1856 a studio in Vienna. He is known for his overpainted salt prints, negative retouching and his numerous portraits of the Royals of the Austrian court.

In 1877 he returned to Germany.
