Michael Moser (May 3, 1853 – November 24, 1912 in Bad Aussee) spent a number of years in Japan – unusual for his time – where he shot numerous pictures of the country and its people. The Japanese motif with the Fuji Mountain and a shrine gate printed as his logo on the reverse of his cabinet cards and CDVs, became his trademark and was meant as a reminiscence of his stay in Japan.
